BHS parents and families,

First thank you for your participation and support during our Open House last night.

Our Ninth grade orientation will be held on Monday, August 14th from 8:05 to 11:05.  This orientation day is strictly voluntary and intended for students only.  Our goal for the day is allowing students to become familiar with their new building, teachers, and routines

Bus transportation will be provided for students only.  If your child is riding a bus on Monday the 14th, pick and drop off will be at the location provided to the school division. If adjustments are required for drop off locations for this orientation day, please contact your child’s school immediately.

Your child will be picked up at normal scheduled time. We anticipate all sixth and ninth grade students being dropped off at their assigned bus stop between 11:05 and 11:25.

Car riders are expected to be dropped off at 8:05 and picked up at 11:05.

We hope to see your child on Monday.

DID YOU KNOW that YOUR USED SHOES can help keep a child off the street, help a mother provide a
meal for her family, or provide a means of transportation to a person in a third world country?
Central Virginia Regional Rescue and Funds2Orgs are trying to collect 2,500 pairs of gently
used shoes (all styles and sizes) that will then be distributed throughout various communities i
n third world countries.

Please join Key Club's efforts to help. Bring in your used shoes and drop them off in the large,
marked box in the front lobby, now through May 1st.

Key Club will meet and elect officers for the 2017-18 school year TOMORROW*, April 25th,
after school in the library.

* Please be sure to change "tomorrow" to TODAY when you read this on Tuesday...a lot of our members
missed our last meeting because it wasn't changed--the date was right, but "tomorrow" threw them off. :)

Students and Staff: It's not too late! If you would still like to donate blood at our drive TOMORROW,
see the table in the foyer before school or during lunch or see Mrs. Cooter any time to sign up.
Donors who are 16 MUST have a permission slip. All donors must have a photo ID and a pass to
excuse them from class for their appointment. Please get passes from Mrs. Cooter.
