Athletics
  • The girls tennis team defeated Rustburg yesterday 5 to 1 in the first round of the district tournament. Winners were, in singles, Joyce Mac 6-1, 6-0; Bailey Livingston 6-0, 6-1; Lucia Andrades 6-0, 6-1; Nadia Reaves 6-4, 6-3; and Clara Cedillo 6-2, 6-1. The girls and boys teams will have regular practice from 3 till 4:45 today.
Seniors
  • Attention Seniors! Your exclusive BHS senior T-shirts are now available for pre-sale and will end on Monday, May 6th. Cost is $10 and can be purchased from Mr. Markey in room 316 before or after school. Limited extras will be purchased, so don't miss your chance to have this one-of-a-kind momento from your senior year! 
    Additionally, tickets for the 2019 Golden Coke Awards are now available for sale and will end Wednesday, May 8th in Mr. Markey's room 316. The Golden Coke Awards are on May 9th at 7pm in the BHS Cafeteria. Tickets are $10, but will be offered for $5 if you buy your ticket at the same time as your senior T-shirt. The money goes towards a delicious catered buffet dinner. This is a fun senior event which includes the Senior Roast, funny superlatives, and gift card prizes! Don't miss this awesome event to say goodbye to the seniors of Brookville High!

The Que Pasa festival is a yearly festival celebrating and promoting Hispanic culture and customs. There will be music, dancing, demonstrations, freebies, crafts, vendors, and so much food! $5 to join us with a discounted rate of $3 is you are a Spanish Club member. Please see any Spanish teacher for more information and to get your permission slip!

  • The girls tennis team beat Liberty 9-0. Everyone won: Joyce, Bailey, Erin, Lucia, Nadia, Clara, and Lily are continuing to improve and win their matches. Go Bees! Now 11-3

General
  • Congratulations to the Debate team on their 4th place team finish at the State Championships this past weekend. Ian Keen and Matthew Glass had strong showings in Student Congress, while Sarah Light and Jacob Norman were named the State Runners-Up in Policy Debate! Additionally, Sarah Light was named the State Champion Individual Policy Speaker for Classes 1-3! Great job Debate team and our newest State Champion, Sarah!

  • Only one day left to reserve your copy of the book! Tomorrow is the last day. These memories last a life time. Room 112 is always open to pick up information regarding prices and you can drop off your payment. Full price of the book is $85. There will be NO EXTRA COPIES. Don't be the only friend without a yearbook to sign. 
  • Calling all dancers, singers, acrobats, instrumentalists, martial artists, and comedians, Brookville's Got Talent auditions will be held on Wednesday, April 24 from 3-5p.m. in the auditorium. Please sign-up on the sheet outside of Mrs. Emanuel's classroom, 102.

  • The girls tennis team beat Rustburg yesterday 8 to 1. Winners were Joyce Mac, Bailey Livingston, Erin McKown, Lucia Andrades, Nadia Reaves, Clara Cedillo, and Lily Sugawara. Go Bees!

  • Anyone who paid to go on the DC Trip with the Political Science Club must attend one of the following meetings on Friday, either before school at 7:40 or after school at 2:50. This is a mandatory meeting!
  • Today is the day! Donors, remember to bring with you to the new gym your photo ID and (if you're 16 and haven't already turned it in to Mrs. Cooter) your parental consent form too! Afternoon donors, don't skip lunch! Don't forget your FREE t-shirt after you donate! Teachers, see my email about allowing students to use RapidPass to get them back to class faster!

Athletics
  • The girls tennis team beat Heritage yesterday 8 to 1. Winner were, #1 doubles Joyce Mac and Bailey Livingston 8-2, #2 doubles Erin Mckown and Lucia Andrades 8-3, and #3 doubles Clara Cedillo and Nadia Reaves 8-0. In singles #1 Joyce won 8-0, #3 Erin won 8-5, #4 Lucia won 8-5, #5 Nadia won 8-2, and Lily Sugaward won at #6 8-5. The team is now 7-3 overall. Go Bees!

Remember, all donors must have a photo ID and if you're 16 a parental consent form too to donate! All students need a pass from Mrs. Cooter as well to leave class for their appointment. See Mrs. Cooter in room 105 ASAP for the parental consent form, class pass or with any questions you may have! See the table in the cafeteria before school or during lunch to sign up to donate. All donors will receive a FREE t-shirt as a thank you from the American Red Cross!

  • Congratulations to Hannah Richards for placing 4th at the Class 3 Forensics State Championships on Saturday. She represented Brookville High well with her amazing performance of The Tell Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe. Way to go Hannah!
