Clubs

  • Spanish Club members: Come see any Spanish teacher to purchase this year's Spanish Club tshirt! $10 by Friday, the 2nd.

  • Attention all new National Honor Society members: Don't forget about your first meeting THIS THURSDAY, 11/1, in the library right after school. The meeting should last about 20 minutes. Please make every effort to be there.

Athletics

  • "For those who love to dance, act, and tell a story, here's your chance. The Winterguard 2019 season is quickly approaching. There will be an interest meeting this Friday November 2nd at 6:30-7:30pm in the band room for anyone who is interested in joining the team this year."

General

  • ATTENTION 10th & 11th Graders!! Applications are now available for the Summer Residential Governor’s School programs. Summer Residential Governor’s Schools provide gifted high school students with intensive educational experiences in visual and performing arts; humanities; mathematics, science, and technology; or through mentorships in marine science, medicine and health sciences, or engineering. If you are a SOPHOMORE or JUNIOR and you're interested in participating, please come by the School Counseling Office to sign up for more information. 

Seniors

  • Seniors, if you need to pick up your t-shirts you ordered please visit Ms. Sharman and/or Mrs. Tate's room.
  • Seniors- if you took the SAT at Brookville on October 10th, you can access your scores in your college board account on November 2nd. If you can't view them, see Mrs. Carlson in the school counseling office on November 5th.

  • With the change in our football schedule, we are changing our Spirit Week days. Pink Out will now be Thursday. Twin Day will take place on Friday.

  • The 2018 Indoor Track and Field season will begin Monday, November 5. A current physical is needed in order to participate. For more information you can contact Coach Johnson by email or speak with Coach Foster.

There will be music, dancing, free food, costume contests, games and more! Cost of admission is one canned good to be donated! See any Foreign language teacher for more details!

  • Key Club will meet TOMORROW after school in the library. All students planning to join are reminded that dues should be paid at the meeting. We will be playing a game and working on our October service projects. Please have rides here by 4:00.

  • Congratulations to Mia Preston, Tanner Firkins and Kyle Sennett. Mia finished 7th in the Jim Whorley Seven C's Cross Country meet yesterday at Wolf Branch Farm. Tanner finished 7th as well in the boys race and Kyle finished 15th! Great job to Mia, Tanner and Kyle and the entire cross country team.

  • The Tabletop gaming club will meet this Monday in Mrs. Davis's room (#427) from 3:00-3:45. All are invited!

  • Attention SWARM!! Don't forget to sign up for the SPIRIT BUS for tomorrow! We will have pizza and then head over to Rustburg to cheer on our volleyball girls! Meet at the school at 5:15 - bus leaves at 5:45. Bus ride is free - $6 to get in the game! Our girls have been on the road all season without their fans so let's show up and be loud!

  • open field for softball will be Monday October 8th at 6:30 at the softball field.

  • Congratulations to Tanner Firkins on his 22nd place finish in Saturday's Blue Ridge Cross Country Invitational. Mia Preston finished first for the girls and 27th overall in the girls race. Kyle Sennett finished 37th, Tyler Deaton 41st, Justin Baty 46th, Nicholas Carter 72nd and Tyler McPheters 73rd. In the girls race, Caroline Thomas finished 2nd for the bees and 34th overall, Christen Thomas 36th, Maddie Anderson 40th, Lucia Andrades 42nd and Julia Bonheim 61st. Great Job to the Cross Country Team.

  • Fellowship of Christian Athletes invites everyone to attend Fields of Faith this weekend. It is being held here at Brookville on Sunday from 6-8PM. All other local high schools will be there as well. It will be a time of faith, prayer, music and lots of pizza. Any questions please see Coach Washburn.

  • Key Club will meet TODAY after school in the library. Everyone is invited! We will be discussing three very important service projects coming up this month. Please have rides here by 3:45.

Any Senior planning to attend a 2-year, 4-year or technical/trade college should attend. You will learn what information is needed and what forms need to be completed to apply for Federal Financial Aid and for scholarships.

  • Any senior planning to apply to UVA please stop by the School Counseling Office this week for information on a full tuition scholarship.
