Attention Juniors: The deadline to register for the PSAT test is Friday, Sept. 23rd. Please bring your registration form and $15 check or cash to the School Counseling Office by Sept. 23rd.


Athletics

​The Bees had a most victorious match last night defeating Heritage, Amherst, and E.C. Glass. The powerful Jackson "Eagle"Clay won the whole tournament scoring just 37, followed by the great Carter "Albatross" Stone with a 40. Ben "Birdie" Mullins helped the team with his 45. And Justin "on par" Stitt contributed a 51. Novices Jeremy Stitt and Mathew Glass each had personal best scores of the season.​

Good luck to our JV football team as they travel to Harrisonburg tonight, and good luck to our JV/Varsity volleyball teams as they face off against Amherst here at the hive.

Congratulations to Alli Brown on her 11th place finish yesterday in the Seminole District Cross Country meet at the Presbyterian Home. Alli finished 1st for the bees with a time of 24:28. Caroline Thomas finished 22nd, Maddie Anderson 37th, Maddie Martin 40th, Dominique Forbes 50th, Clara Cedillo 60th and Victoria Brown 61st.

Congratulations to Nathan Maddox on his 5th place finish in yesterday’s cross country meet. Daniel Pettyjohn finished 11th, Colby Childress 38th, Zach Arthur 54th, Tanner Firkins 55th, Brian Short 56th and Shardul Naphade 66th.

Clubs

Reminder for all NHS members: your dues need to be paid by Friday, September 16. Please see Mrs. Kramer or Austin Miles to pay.

Time to sign up for the next HUGE tailgate party for this Friday night at 5:15!!! Sign up on the SWARM board by Thursday afternoon!!!

You know you want to sit in the best seat in the house!!! SWARM kids - come by Lester's room and drop your name in the basket for a chance to win a spot for you and your friends on the SPIRIT COUCH!!!!!

There will be a POSSA Club meeting this Friday before and after school to discuss our upcoming field trip to Longwood. Please attend one meeting, if you plan to go on the trip. New members are still welcome to attend!

The first meeting of the Creative Writing Club will take place during FLEX on Thursday, September 22. If you love to write and didn't get the chance to sign up during Club Rush, see Mrs. Kramer in the library.

General 

The 2016 BHS Color Run will take place on October 22 at Percivals Island Downtown! Registration forms will be in the office or you can register on EventBrite. It will be a blast! All money raised will be for the SWARM and for local charities!!

Sign Up for The 3rd Annual Dodge-For-A-Cure Tournament on Oct. 5 from 6 pm to 8 pm. Come to the sign up tables during every lunch to get permission slips. Total of 16 teams, so sign up fast. Teams of ten must be coed - 5 girls and 5 boys.
