Athletics
  • Congratulations to Mia Preston on her victory yesterday in the Cross Country meet against LCA and Rustburg. Mia won the meet with a 5k time of 23:34. Caroline Thomas was 8th, Maddie Anderson 13th and Julia Bonheim 19th. Great Job to the Girls XC team.

  • Congratulations to the boys cross country on their 2nd place victory yesterday. Tanner Firkins led the Bees with a 6th place finish 5k time of 20:02. Kyle Sennett finished 11th , Justin Baty 18th, Charlie Maddox 26th, Jeremy Stitt 28th, Nicholas Carter 35th, Tyler McPheters 39th, Noah Dalton 40th. Great job to the Cross Country Team.

  • This Friday (9/14) is a 2 hour early dismissal.

  • AM VoTech will still leave at regular time.

Athletics
  • Congratulation to the girls and boys cross country team on their performance Saturday at the Knights Crossing Cross Country Invitational. There were more than 2,000 runners in the meet. In the girls race Mia Preston was first for the Bees and 62nd overall (out of 264 runners) with a 5k time and personal best time of 21:48. Caroline Thomas finished 133rd, Christen Thomas 160th, Maddie Anderson 208th and Lucia Andrades 233rd. In the boys race, Tanner Firkins finished 91st over all (there were 317 runners) and first for the bees with a 5k time of 18:15. Kyle Sennett finished 165th, Justin Baty 214th, Tyler Deaton 216th, Jeremy Stitt 236th, Chasen Hunt 248th and Tyler McPheters 314th. Great job to the cross country team.

Would you like to learn more about how you can be part of a team that will learn to detect cyber hacks prevent breeches in cyber networks? Come to Computer Lab 202 and pick up an informational sheet from Mrs. Spahr and plan to attend an informational meeting on Thursday, September 6th after school. You have the unique opportunity to be on the one of the first Cyber Patriot Teams in Campbell County schools. Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity.

Forensics is similar to theater in that it is a speech and performance competition team. At Brookville, we have had 3 state champions in the last 5 years and plan to continue the run!   • Senior make-up photos (formals only) will be Wednesday (9/26) in the auditorium. If interested, you need to come by the front office and sign up for a time (preferably during an elective).



Tuesday September 4
Clubs 
  • The first meeting of the Forensics team will be Tuesday, September 4th from 3-4pm in Mr. Markey's room 316. Forensics is similar to theater in that it is a speech and performance competition team. At Brookville, we have had 3 state champions in the last 5 years and plan to continue the run! So if you love theater or performing, come check it out!

  • Red Cross club's first meeting is NO LONGER today. It has been moved to NEXT Tuesday the 11th before or after school still in Mrs. Cooter's room. Please let her know if you can't make it or if you are interested in running for president or vice president. Also we are still collecting dues! $10 to join.

  • Key Club will meet TOMORROW after school in the library. EVERYONE is invited to come for games and refreshments! Please have rides here by 3:45.

  • The first meeting of the Debate team is Thursday, September 6th from 3-4pm in Mr. Markey's room 316. If you interested in arguing about political topics and other random things as well as being taught how to guarantee you win your argument, then the Debate team is for you! We took 4th place at States last year and hope to win the title this year! Hope to see you there!

  • Are you fascinated by all the news about computer hacking that you hear about in the news? Is a career in cyber security something that you have wondered about? Would you like to learn more about how you can be part of a team that will learn to detect cyber hacks prevent breeches in cyber networks? Come to Computer Lab 202 and pick up an informational sheet from Mrs. Spahr and plan to attend an informational meeting on Thursday, September 6th after school. You have the unique opportunity to be on the one of the first Cyber Patriot Teams in Campbell County schools. Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity.


Acedemics
  • Seniors, if you plan to take the school day SAT on October 10th, you need to sign up by Friday in the School Counseling Office. The test is free for all seniors.
