Let's create some buzz!!!!  The first home football game of the season happens tomorrow evening against the Albemarle High School Patriots.  The leadership class would like to invite you on a scavenger hunt.  Hunt for the patriot mascot throughout the school - there are 6 of them to find - if found, bring it to Mrs. Davis' room (room 427) for a special treat!

 

Do you love reading?  If so, come join us for the first annual BookBees book club meeting on Thursday, September 3rd right after school in the library.  The BookBees is a club that reads and discusses a different book each month.  We will be choosing our first book on Thursday, September 3rd.  If you can't make the meeting but would like more information, see Mrs. Kramer in the library.

 

The Timbrook Library is looking for volunteers for shelving on Saturdays this fall from 1-3.  This is a great opportunity for students who love books, are looking for community service hours, or want extra activities for their college applications.  See the flyer in the library for more information.

 

The French Club will hold its first meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 1 from 3:00 - 4:15 in Mrs. Turner's room.  You can still be in the club if you're not enrolled in French this year.  We will vote on officers and plan activities.

 

Green Team will meet after school on Wednesday, September 2nd in Mrs. Cardwell’s room 426.

 

All PAID members of the Crunk Squad, there will be a brief meeting after school in the auditorium TODAY. Please make plans to attend. 

 

Art Club will meet Tuesday, September 1st at 3:00 in Mrs. Bolling's room.  Please bring a finished t-shirt design.  We will vote on a shirt design during this meeting and also select officers. 

 

Miss Hansotte will be accepting $15 dues for FFA until Sept. 1st. The meetings will be the 3rd Wednesday of every month after school.

 

Attention students: Remember, if you want to be part of this year's Spanish Club, your money is due by the end of this week! $3 for underclassmen and $1 for Seniors. If you are interested in running for President, Vice President or Club Photographer, please let Mrs. Cooter know by this Wednesday!

 

Red Cross Club dues need to be turned in to Mrs. Cooter by the end of this week. Our first meeting to vote for this year's officers will be this Thursday the 27th right after school in Mrs. Cooter's room.

 

The Bible Club will hold its first meeting on Tuesday, Sept 1 in the auditorium at 7:45.  Anyone interested in joining is welcome and encouraged to attend.  We will be discussing the upcoming year and what the club is all about.

 

Congratulations to the JV football team on their 38-33 win last night over Albemarle.

 

Congratulations to Jackson Clay for shooting 43 yesterday at London Downs.  He had a birdie on number 10 and he place 3rd overall against JF, Liberty and Heritage.  Carter Stone tied for 4th overall shooting a 45.  Nash Nicholson and James Walker both shot 49.  We had a team score of 186 for 2nd place.

 

There will be an informational meeting about fall soccer pick-up games this Monday after school in Mr. Scott's room at 2:50. Any girls grades 8-12 that would like to play, please attend the meeting. No experience required! See Coach Scott in room 219 for more information.

 

There will be an important meeting for anyone interested in wrestling this season in the 9th grade health room right after school TODAY.

 

There will be a girls’ softball meeting TODAY after school in Room 801 after school today.  It will only last about 10 minutes.
