Clubs and Organizations:

Key Club and the guidance office are starting a winter clothing drive beginning now until January 10th. Bring clean coats, hoodies, scarves, hats, gloves and small fleece blankets to your fourth period class. There will be boxes provided but until then please give them to your teachers. At the end of the drive, the amount of donations from each 4th period will be tallied up and there will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner; receiving prizes.

Hey, Brookville, as you may have already noticed, students are walking around during all three lunches collecting money for needy families in Campbell County so that those families can have a Merry Christmas, too.  We will be collecting money until next Tuesday, December 15. Now, do you want your teacher to play dress up next Wednesday?  Well, then get your club sponsor to donate money, too, so that we can make all those conservative teachers show off the latest styles (Yeah…right).   We are going to let the drama department be in charge of their wardrobe for that one day.  See the Angel Tree thermometer in the lobby for details!  The front office is selling an assortment of candy (dum dums, jolly rancher, twizzlers, etc) for 25¢ to help raise money for the Angel Tree.  Please come by the front office before/after school, during lunch (and if you have time) between classes.  However, you cannot be tardy for your classes.

The French Club will be selling Noel candy grams for 50 cents each all this week at lunch in front of the cafeteria and in the mornings in Mrs. Turner's room.

Attention all students! If you haven’t submitted your Christmas limerick for the Poetry and Literature Club competition, you have until Thursday at noon to turn it into Mr. Markey or Bryan Hogg. The winner of the competition will be announced at the next meeting of the Poetry and Literature Club on Thursday December 10th right after school in Mr. Markey's room. The winner will receive a $20 gift card to Barnes and Noble and a copy of the Christmas mixtape. Good luck!

Auditions for the Spring musical, My Fair Lady, are today from 3-4 in the chorus room.  You only need to attend one session.  Please see Mrs. Emanuel if you have any questions.

All students are encouraged to participate in a schoolwide Christmas card drive, which will take place today through Monday, December 14.  Stop by Mrs. Emanuel’s classroom (102) to use our supplies or make your own and drop it off.  All cards must be delivered to Mrs. Emanuel’s classroom by Monday afternoon.  They will be distributed to the elderly people at nursing homes in our area.  Just think, this simple gesture that only takes a few minutes of your time, can impact someone in a special way.  Let’s get creative and spread joy to those who truly need it this holiday season.  See Mollie Green if you have any questions.

Sports:

The Brookville Wrestling Team will be hosting rival Rustburg High School tonight at 7:30. Last year Brookville squeezed out a win in the final match. Tonight's match promises to be an another exciting battle. Please come out in support of the wrestling team and help cheer them on to victory!

Good luck also to Indoor Track at Heritage
