Congratulations to the Forensics and Debate teams on their outstanding performance at the SouthWest Forensics League Championsips last night! Top placers were:

Jonathan Wingfield - 4th place Student Congress Debate
Logan Wagner - 4th place Poetry
Juniper Pearson and Justin Hudson - 6th place Public Forum Debate
Congratulations to the team on a great regular season! The Forensics team will have a showcase here in the Hive on February 10th from 6-8pm and the Conference 30 tournament will be on February 20th at Liberty High School. Way to go Forensics and Debate!
Art students will meet in the classroom before going to the computer lab today.
The first meeting of the Poetry and Literature Club will be on Friday, January 30th right after school in Mr. Markey's room 316 from 3-4pm. If you love reading classic literature or reciting poetry and spoken word, this club is for you! Hope to see you there!
Attention Spanish Club members: If you are interested in going to the 2nd annual trip to the Que Pasa festival in Richmond, please sign up on one of the interest sheets in each of the Spanish classrooms. The festival is Saturday, May 2nd and includes authentic Latin American food, dancing, boat rides, market-style shopping, crafts, and more! Please sign up by this Friday.
Also for Spanish Club members: We will be having a bowling night at AMF Wednesday, February 4th from 6-8pm. The cost will be $10 for 2 hours of bowling and shoe rental. Money is due by this Friday. See any of the Spanish teachers to sign up and turn in your money.
All NHS members are reminded to stop by Mrs. Regan's room and sign up to bring a food item to the induction ceremony.
The POSSA club will meet this Friday to discuss the DC field trip. Please attend either the morning or afternoon session.
There will be no Guitar Club meeting this afternoon.
Thespian Club is meeting tomorrow morning at 7:30 in Mrs. Emanuel’s classroom.
Are you in the market for a prom dress but don't want to spend top dollar prices?? Do you have a fancy party coming up that requires a fancier dress? If so, please come to the 'Cinderella's Closet prom dress sale/re-sale' event on Saturday, February 7th from 10-2 in the BHS cafeteria. Dressing rooms will be available during the event. Other vendors at the event include jewelry sales, make-up and Jamberry Nails!
Art classes are in need of various items to help students with their next project. These items include, but are not limited to, beads, buttons, ribbon, feathers, rafia, felt, fabric/clothing scraps, jewels, metallic paints, etc. We also need newspapers. If you have any of these items or things related, please bring them in to Mrs.Bolling, we would really appreciate your donation and if you aren't sure, bring it anyway-everything is accepted!
