It’s that time of the year again! The Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Program, (also known as HO-BEE) is looking for an outstanding sophomore student who possesses strong leadership skills. Could this be you? Please see Mrs. Carlson in the school counseling office to pick up an application, which is due October 23rd. If you are selected, you will attend a 3 day seminar in June at JMU, at no cost to you! 


Any Junior or Senior interested in Engineering as a career choice, please come by the School Counseling office to obtain information regarding a possible internship with AREVA.


JOIN THE CRUNK SQUAD'S HOMECOMING AMAZING RACE! Freshmen, sophomores, juniors, or seniors....Who will get bragging rights going into the pep rally against JF? 

Twelve teams, 3 teams from each grade level, a race around the school completing challenges during homecoming week. Prizes! Teams of FOUR sign up today and tomorrow outside of Mrs. Elmore's room, 118. Teams will compete all during homecoming week leading up to the last few teams competing for the win at the block party. Don't miss out. Grab some friends in the same grade and sign up today!!

Has all this rain left you feeling chilly?  Let the Bee Branch help!  Come by your student-run credit union, which is open to students and teachers during all lunch periods, to start a savings or checking account and receive a Starbucks gift card and coffee mug to keep you warm this fall!


Spanish Club members: We will be meeting TOMORROW in the cafeteria right after school to vote for this year's Spanish Club t-shirt design. Stop by any Spanish teacher's room to see the three design options. Snacks will be provided!


The BHS Choral Department will be presenting their annual dinner concert TONIGHT night at 6:00 in the cafeteria. This year’s theme is DISCO DINNER and the cost for adults is $7 and students $5. It will be great fun!

The Poetry and Literature Club will have its next meeting this Thursday, October 8th. Come stop by and pick up your free copy of Redemption. The meeting will be held in Mr. Markey's room 316 after school and will last about 15 minutes. Please plan to attend.
