All afternoon Tech Center students should come to Guidance AFTER 4th period to pick up their progress reports.

Join the BHS Leadership class in raising awareness of Suicide and Suicide Prevention.  Beginning Friday, September 18th, tables will be set up in the lunch room for students to purchase Suicide Awareness t-shirts and to sign up for the "out of the darkness" walk on Saturday, October 3rd.  All BHS walkers who participate on October 3rd will be celebrated the following week at a special "After the walk party!"  T-shirts are $7.00.

Get ahead of everyone in your class by starting a savings account at the Bee Branch.  Whether you’re saving for college, a car, or Christmas the Bee Branch is open during all 3 lunches for teachers and students.  Stop by the front lobby today for a chance to win Regal movie tickets.

The 2nd Anime Meeting of the year will be held this Friday from 2:55-3:45 in Mrs. Davis' room, room 427.

Breast Cancer Awareness (HOPE) night will be observed on Friday, (October 2) during our home football game against Rustburg.  The front office is selling HOPE shirts and other memorabilia.  HOPE shirts are $10 ($12 for 2X and 3X).  All sizes are available at this time.
We also have HOPE bracelets (some pink, others in camo) and calendar books for $1 each.

Key Club will have its next meeting on Tuesday, September 22, after school in the library. Anyone still interested in joining this year's club should plan to pay the $15 dues on or before that date. We will be starting our "Trick or Treat for UNICEF" project on Tuesday, so all members should plan to attend or see Ms. Llewellyn if you can't.

It’s that time of the year again! The Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Program, (also known as HO-BEE) is looking for an outstanding sophomore student who possesses strong leadership skills. Could this be you? Please see Mrs. Carlson in the school counseling office to pick up an application, which is due October 23rd. If you are selected, you will attend a 3 day seminar in June at JMU, at no cost to you!

Juniors and seniors: Whether you are planning on college, a technical school, the military, or you just aren't sure yet, the ASVAB test can provide you with important information about your skills, abilities and interests and help put you on the right course for a satisfying career. If you are interested in joining the military, the ASVAB is a required test that the military uses to determine if you are qualified to join and what areas you would excel in. Taking the ASVAB doesn't obligate you to anything and it is free! It will be held on November 19th. See Mrs. Carlson in the school counseling office to sign up or to get more information.

Congratulations to our GOLF team on their first place win yesterday with a 173 shot by Jandrito Cedillo, Jackson Clay, James Walker and Carter Stone!

Conditioning for indoor track will begin September 21 after school on the track and students must have a completed physical to participate.
