Did you know an American dies by suicide every 12.95 minutes?  Help us bring someone from "out of the darkness."  Make the pledge.  Buy a t-shirt.  Join the walk.

Art Club is now taking orders for club t-shirts.  You do not have to be in Art Club to purchase a shirt.  Orders will be taken through this Friday, see Mrs. Bolling for details.

Attention Forensics team members...practice this week will be on Thursday instead of Tuesday due to parent teacher conferences. See Mr. Markey if you have any questions.

Key Club will have its next meeting TODAY after school in the library.  Please see Ms. Llewellyn if you cannot attend.

There will be practice for the dance team TODAY at 3:20 in the auditorium.

The Bible Club is sponsoring "See You at the Pole" tomorrow morning beginning at 7:30 at the flagpole.  "See You at the Pole" is an nation-wide annual gathering of Christian students at a flagpole in front of their local school for prayer, scripture-reading and worship, during the early morning before school starts. We hope to see you there!

Breast Cancer Awareness (HOPE) night will be observed on Friday, (October 2) during our home football game against Rustburg.  The front office is selling HOPE shirts and other memorabilia.  HOPE shirts are $10 ($12 for 2X and 3X).  All sizes are available at this time.
We also have HOPE bracelets (some pink, others in camo) and calendar books for $1 each.

It’s that time of the year again! The Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Program, (also known as HO-BEE) is looking for an outstanding sophomore student who possesses strong leadership skills. Could this be you? Please see Mrs. Carlson in the school counseling office to pick up an application, which is due October 23rd. If you are selected, you will attend a 3 day seminar in June at JMU, at no cost to you!

Juniors and seniors: Whether you are planning on college, a technical school, the military, or you just aren't sure yet, the ASVAB test can provide you with important information about your skills, abilities and interests and help put you on the right course for a satisfying career. If you are interested in joining the military, the ASVAB is a required test that the military uses to determine if you are qualified to join and what areas you would excel in. Taking the ASVAB doesn't obligate you to anything and it is free! It will be held on November 19th. See Mrs. Carlson in the school counseling office to sign up or to get more information.
