  • Please see Mrs. Martin to sign up for the November 18th-22nd range group. You can pick up an application in room 814.
Clubs
  • Attention Spanish and French club members! Our annual Monster Mash will take place on Thursday November 7 from 6-8 PM in the cafeteria. We will have food, games, music, dancing, and prizes. Come dressed in your best costume! Admission is one can of food for the food drive. See you Thursday!
  • Calliope will have a quick meeting on Thursday, November 7th in Room 118 to discuss the new submission campaign.
  • All Key Club members are invited to attend a special Veteran's Day meeting on Monday, November 11th, after school in the library. We will have a guest speaker, followed by a small reception, so please plan to stay until 4:00.
  • A reminder to all NHS members: You have a mandatory meeting on Wednesday, November 13. You may choose to attend the morning option at 7:40 or the afternoon option at 2:55. Returning members will meet in Mrs. Wolk's classroom; new members will meet in the library. Be prepared to pay dues at this meeting.

If you have your physical you can turn it in at the meeting or one will be provided for you at the meeting. Practice for indoor track will start Monday, November 11.
  • There will be a Girls Soccer Interest Meeting Friday morning (November 1) at 7:40 in the ninth grade health room (801). All girls interested in playing soccer this year should attend. 
  • Boys soccer out of season conditioning will begin next Wed. 11/06/19 at 3:00 on the middle school field. Please have a completed physical to begin workouts.
  • All varsity volleyball players need to return their jerseys to Coach Sharman by Friday
  • There will be girls basketball open gym Thursday October 31st after school .
  • Come out to support your BHS Competition Cheerleading team this Saturday at Rustburg High School. Your team will be performing at 12 so be there to support the BHS BEES! Let's cheer them on to STATES!

  • A final congratulations to the brookville Marching Band for their performance last week at the Drums Ac cross the Blue Ridge finals. The band came from behind after finishing 9th in prelims to come in 2nd place in finals competition out of 12 bands. The band also won visual and Colorguard in their class and 2nd in percussion. Want to join this award winning group? then consider joining winter colorguard! This awards winning winter group will be auditioning Monday Wednesday and Friday from 3:30-5:30. Come join the talented young men and women who helped the marching band perform with superior skill this fall! We can't wait to meet you monday.

The meeting is for parents and students, and will be held in the multipurpose room at 7:00 pm. If you are planning to swim you need to be there.

    Remember: When the ice caps melt, swimmers will rule the world.

  • Green Team has boxes with green signs on them in classrooms for recycling paper. We would apprecaite any donations of other non broken down cardboard boxes. Please take the boxes to Ms. Cardwell's room (426). Green Team Meets every Friday right after school, so please join us!

  • All students interested in participating on the Brookville High School Swim Team this coming season, there will be an organizational meeting on October 17th. The meeting is for parents and students, and will be held in the multipurpose room at 7:00 pm. If you are planning to swim you need to be there.   • Congratulations to the Marching Bees!!! The bees came in 2nd in their class and major captions this weekend at the cavalier classic. They also finished 9th overall out of 23, outperforming 6 larger bands. Way to go marching bees!

  • Fellowship of Christian Athletes is hosting Fields of Faith Wednesday Night at 7:00 PM in the Football Stadium. Everyone is invited. There will be great food and a great time for fellowship. Hope to see you there!

Need extra help in math? After school math homework help for all Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and AFDA students will be offered after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning on September 17th. The homework help will be held in Mr. Cook's room #314 from 3-4pm each Tuesday and Thursday.

If so, please stop by the School Counseling Office to sign up to participate in a mentorship program sponsored by AREVA, BWXT and NovaTech, nationally known engineering employers. You will participate in 4 sessions where you will work directly with engineers to complete an engineering project. This year's projects include construction of a catapult, study of model rockets and rocket propulsion, construction of rubber band racers and so many other fun activities. Participation includes a paid for lunch with the engineers at local restaurants before each session.
